Congregate Meals

A hot nutritious meal is served at 11:00 a.m. Monday through Friday at our Senior Center on 307 Main Street.  We ask that you call us a day in advance so that we can order a meal. Suggested donation for seniors is $1.30.

 

 

Home Delivered Meals

A hot nutritious noon meal is delivered five (5) days a week, Monday through Friday to homebound persons.  Suggested donation for this service is $1.30 per meal.

 

 

Caldwell Parish Public Transportation

Our transportation service operates between the hours of 6:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.  We provide transportation for doctor appointments, grocery store, work sites and more. Hydraulic lifts for wheelchair recipients are available. We ask that you schedule transportation one (1) day/24 hours in advance.  The suggested donation fee for seniors, age 60 and above is $1.00 per trip. Riders under the age of 60 are required to pay cash fare as per the Fee Schedule. Please call 318-649-0107,extension 10 for more information about transportation.

 

 

Housekeeping/Homemaker Service

A trained employee goes into the home for one (1) hour per visit and performs light household duties for persons who are age 60 and older. The suggested donation is $1.00 per visit.

 

 

Recreation

We offer a variety of recreational activities at our Senior Center including art, ceramics, dominoes, bingo and much more. Activities usually begin at 10:00 a.m. unless noted otherwise. All activities are listed on our monthly Menu & Activity calendar, in the local newspaper and on our website: www.caldwellcoa.org.

 

 

Legal Services

For free legal services, call Acadiana Legal Service Corporation, 1-800-259-6591, to answer any questions you might have regarding such things as Wills, Power of Attorneys, Divorce, etc.

 

 

Other Services

CCOA offers other services such as Nutrition Counseling and Education with a Registered Dietician. We offer a fully equipped weight room and can put together a weight program just for you. Also available is Energy Assistance, III-E Caregiver Service, Material Aid, Medical Alert referrals, Information and Assistance, and Outreach Programs to seniors.
